It is with deep love and sadness that the family of Anne Scott announces her passing on November 23, 2025.
Anne was born on June 27, 1934, in Kinistino, Saskatchewan, to her parents Charles Edward Codd and Eva Codd. She grew up in Kinistino, where her warm and creative spirit first took root, before making her home in Saskatoon with her beloved husband, Duncan Scott. Together, they built a life defined by devotion, resilience, and the steady love they shared.
Anne and Duncan raised three daughters - Beth, Sheila and Barbara - who were the heart of her life. She welcomed her sons-in-laws Dimitrios Vardakas (Sheila) and Doug Bakker (Barbara), with the same warmth and care she gave her own children.
Anne was also blessed with 3 grandchildren, Duncan Vardakas, Joanne (Norbert) Nagy, and Stephanie (Mitch) Obrigewich, each one bringing unique joy and pride into her life.
Anne was a woman of many gifts and passions. She had a lifelong love of music, finding comfort and joy in the melodies that filled her home. A talented and meticulous seamstress, she created beautiful clothing and cherished pieces that reflected both skill and love. She also loved to travel, embracing new places with curiosity and appreciation. Anne was also a keen golfer enjoying both the game and the friendships it fostered.
Anne and Duncan's home was a place of open doors and open hearts. They welcomed extended family and friends with genuine warmth, creating a space where people felt at ease, cared for and always invited. Together, they hosted countless gatherings, barbecues, and celebrations, filling their home with laughter, conversation, and the joy of shared company. Their hospitality was a true reflection of who they were - generous, welcoming, and happiest when surrounded by the people they loved.
Throughout her life, Anne was surrounded by a wide circle of family and friends who meant the world to her. She offered kindness freely, listened deeply, and made everyone around her feel valued. Her gentle nature, warm smile, and generous spirit touched all who knew her.
Anne's presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by her.
