In Memory of Artur Jan Gudowski

November 23 ^rd , 1954 – April 10 ^th , 2024

With sadness, we announce the passing of Artur Jan Gudowski on April 10 ^th , 2024, at the age of 69 in Saskatoon.

Born and raised in Krak ó w, Poland, Artur held a deep affection for his home city and cherished its rich history and vibrant culture. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter in 1984 where he settled in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan dedicating himself to teaching and to the Polish community. His intelligence and love for literature, art, language, film, travel, cooking, fashion and especially Poland echoed through his conversations, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew him.

Artur is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa, his daughter, Malwina (Chad), his grandchildren, Mikko and Lumi, his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents and baby sister.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6 ^th at Our Lady of Cz ę stochowa Parish (302 Ave. Y South) in Saskatoon. A funeral will be held at a later date in Artur’s beloved Krak ó w, where he will be laid to rest.
