Bernie loved to cook and bake. The family favorite was "Rock Soup" it was always requested, this recipe was passed down from her mom and has made it down another generation. Other speciality included Sauerkraut and Nifla, Sheppard's Pie, Rice & Broccoli Casserole, and Spaghetti with meat balls. Not to forget all the cookies, cakes, pies, buns, and sweets. Nanny also loved to have visits from her sons, grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, and friends which always made her day. Bernie later in life enjoyed watching some sports on TV, especially her Toronto Blue Jays every day. She also loved watching curling and golf. NO Football though, she just didn't catch on.

Bernie kept in touch with brothers and sisters and they where always doing things together in the early years. Bernie was the one of the favorite aunts to her nieces and nephews because of her personality and cooking. Bernie made friends wherever Don's work took them. So, Bernie had friends from Saskatchewan to BC.

A private family graveside ceremony will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
