Brad James Jollimore

This kind, loving soul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his close family and friends.

Born in Halifax, NS and grew up in the village of Wittenburg, he spent his younger years exploring the woods surrounding his home, hunting and fishing with his father, and hanging out with his uncles at the camp; he was so proud the year he shot his first buck.

At 22, Brad bravely moved out west to Saskatchewan where he met his future wife, Jo. It took a short time before they knew they were soul mates. In 1999, Jo followed Brad to Nova Scotia and later, on August 12, 2000, the two married in Saskatoon, SK and moved permanently to Nova Scotia where they spent 10 wonderful years. There, they welcomed their son Gage on January 5, 2003, and then a daughter, Clara born December 22, 2008. He so dearly loved his children.

In 2009, they ventured back to Saskatoon and spend 18 more love filled years together, living as flatlanders, the “Jollimore Flatlanders” as Brad would say. In Saskatchewan, he spent many fall seasons hunting and fishing with his son, dad, brother in-law and nephew. He was so proud when Gage landed his first Moose in 2023 and could not wait to share this amazing accomplishment with everyone.

He was proud of Clara’s commitment to her Cheerleading and enjoyed watching Clara’s barrage of friends come and go to the house, many of whom just have the code to the house. His love for his little girl was strong and so incredibly proud of the woman she is going to be.

Brad loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved an appreciated every friend he made and in his own way, he gave of himself to make others happy. He loved to cook, bake, and BBQing on his smoker. This is a man who could create ONE cookie from just throwing the ingredients in a cup and then baking it in the microwave. He enjoyed sharing many of his creations and documenting on social media with both his local friends and family. He even had one or two tune in from abroad!

He was not materialistic; he did not care about money or status; he was strong in the Christian belief that there is a higher purpose. He was not scared to go. He was sure of what lay ahead for him.

Brad is survived by his wife Jo, son Gage, daughter Clara, Mother Pam Jollimore, Brother Chad (Lindsay) Jollimore, Grandmother Shirley Jollimore, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and in-laws. Pre-deceased by his father Jim Jollimore, grandmother Marjorie Barkhouse, grandfather Reg Barkhouse, grandfather Stan Jollimore, uncle Jeffery Jollimore, and cousin Danielle Jollimore.

Brad will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
