It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Brian Anthony Poole at the age of 69, in his chosen city of Saskatoon, after a courageous fight with cancer. Brian was a teacher with  Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools for over 30 years. He was born a teacher and practiced his craft long after leaving the job. He was an excellent driver and also loved woodcraft. He enjoyed traveling to Europe, France and Belgium to visit his friends and make use of his French Language skills. He had a gift for writing, using eloquent words to create an image and understanding in the readers’ minds. We will miss his wry sense of  humour. Brian is survived by his siblings; Terry, Gerry (Cindy), and Tom (Diane), nieces and nephews; Adam (Anna), Emily (Alan), Zach, and Lecia (Jordan), aunt Joan, uncle Eugene (Betsy) and many cousins, as well as close friends Brian and Linda Chartier, Lise, Erik, Amy, James, Gillian, Dieter, Mari and Dave. He was predeceased by his parents, Audrey and Bob Poole of Calgary, grandparents, Marjorie and Alfred Poole (Montreal)and Jack and Olive McLellan (Montreal) and aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Queen’s House of Retreat or a charity of choice. A small private Life Celebration will take place on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00 am. Those so wishing are invited to view the Live Streaming of the Service by going to www.saskatoonfuneralhome.com and using the texted link on Brian’s Obituary  at that time.
