Brian Priest

December 31, 1952 — July 6, 2025

We Celebrate the life of Brian who passed away suddenly at Royal University Hospital on Sunday, July 6, 2025. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his surviving wife Agnes, brother Wayne (Linda), sisters-in-law Wilma, Effie, brother-in-law Robert, nieces Meghan, Emilie, Valerie, Brook, and nephews Maury, Dany, Chris, as well as many dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother Agnes and father Stewart and good friend Bill.

Brian was born in London Ontario. He lived in Saskatoon attending Thornton and Haultain elementary schools and Aden Bowman Collegiate followed by the University of Saskatchewan taking Commerce. Brian had many interests including sports, music, and finance as well as current events. He had always enjoyed getting away to the lake whether to golf or fish or just relax. As a young man and later Brian and his brother enjoyed going to Waskesui, initially with their parents and later their friends. In particular for the Lobstick Golf Tournament which was the big attraction in the 1970's. Brian enjoyed time fishing with his good friend Vern. Cherished memories of trips to Mexico with Vern and Melanie

Brian was diagnosed with Parkinson at a young age. He faced it with grit and determination but it gradually wore him down. He was very adept at hockey and golf. It was very heartbreaking to give up being able to participate in these sports. All through the 25 years plus of the disease Brian kept a positive attitude and the determination to go on.

He was a strong individual. He enjoyed people and made a good friend. He was so loved and will be deeply missed by many. We know he will be taken into the arms of the Lord. Our hope is we will meet again.

In leu of flowers, donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Saskatoon Food Bank.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Hillcrest on Saturday, July 19,, 2025 at 2 pm followed by a luncheon at Parktown Hotel in the Maple Room
