Carlin Bradford Dyck (1988-2026)

Our hearts are broken and shattered as we announce the sudden passing of Carlin Bradford Dyck who passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Carlin was born in Saskatoon to Rudy and Valerie Dyck on November 15, 1988 and spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Delisle, Saskatchewan. Carlin had a determined spirit and was shaped by family, community, schools, the community church, and everyone who shared those early years with him.

Carlin graduated high school in 2007 from Delisle Composite. After graduating, he worked on the oil rigs in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and then moved back to Saskatoon a few years later where he started his career at Nutrien. Carlin found purpose in hard work which helped build a life that mattered deeply to those around him. Carlin was a devoted employee who was respected by his entire crew at Nutrien, whom he considered his work family.

Carlin met the love of his life, Amber Shmon, in 2012 and they were married in 2018. They were gifted with two boys, Braxton and Brady, who were his entire world. Carlin was a loyal husband and a dedicated father who would do anything for his family.

Carlin will be missed by his loving wife, Amber Shmon; their two boys Braxton (7) and Brady (5); parents Rudy and Valerie; brother Graham (Jill, Connor, & Eli); sister Lindsay Weinberger (Brad); in-laws, Bob and Terri Shmon; sister-in-law, Brooke Dirk (Tyson, Myla, & Lincoln); Big Papa (Andy Gervais); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues. Carlin is predeceased by grandparents Abe and Anne Zacharias; grandparents John and Sara Dyck; uncle Eric Dyck; and cousin Matthew Hildebrand.

Though his life was cut far too short, the impact he made will forever remain with his family, friends, coworkers, and community. He will be deeply and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of life will be held for Carlin on Friday, October, 30, 2026 at Gordie Howe Sports Centre at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Amber, Braxton, and Brady's GoFundMe page
