Carolea Olivia Whyte
Carolea, aged 25, passed away Friday Evening January 5th in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
She is survived by her fiancé, Kyle Yuzdepski, her loving parents Cameron and Lori (nee: Murray) Whyte, and her siblings Cathryn and Stuart. In addition, she leaves behind her grandparents Brian and Bev (nee: Siebert) Murray, her grandma Carol (nee: Sjogren) Whyte; her uncle Jason Whyte, her aunts and uncles Jeff and Amanda (nee: Murray) Sawatzky (children Jenna and Logan), as well as Aunt and Uncle Cory and Cheryl (nee:Thiessen) Whyte (children Carson, Colby, Chloe).
She leaves behind her fur babies Murphy and Missy along with her horse Ricc.
She is predeceased by Clifford Keith Whyte, her late grandfather.
Carolea attended Bengough High School (Class of 2016) and worked at the Bengough Co-op as both a student cashier and a stock-girl before pursuing a career in welding. Following her graduation, she attended Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Saskatoon where she obtained her certificate as a journeyperson welder. She worked at Deca Industries for a few years, before switching over to work at Nutrien Cory Potash Mine. She was an active participant in the Women in Non-traditional Environments and Roles committee (WINTER), which helps to promote women in non-traditional job posting to live life to the fullest.
She enjoyed learning to figure skate at the age of five, leading her to develop her love for the game of hockey. She loved music, dancing, and riding horses. Her love for animals knew no bounds and if she could she would have had a baseball team of dogs. She knew how to start the dance floor at any party and her road trips were epic. She was the Car Karaoke Star and the Gateway Festival Funnel Queen! She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will be forever remembered for her eyes that were as bright as her personality, her infectious smile, and her free spirit.
A Celebration of Carolea's Life will be held on Monday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home, (338 4th Avenue North, Saskatoon). The interment will be in Bengough in the coming spring.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Royal University Hospital ICU, Bengough Ag Society, or the Ogema Ag Society.
