Dale Ellen Dyck

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Ellen Dyck on October 5, 2026, at the age of 72.

Born in Saskatoon on June 5, 1954, Dale graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate and spent her career at City Hospital, beginning in housekeeping and working her way up to become a nurses' aide. She was known for her compassionate care, kind heart, and occasional songs shared with patients.

Dale's greatest joy was her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she worked tirelessly to create happy memories and special moments for those she loved. No holiday escaped her touch, but Christmas was her specialty. She had a unique gift for making every celebration feel magical.

Creative and caring, Dale loved drawing, crafting, cooking, and discovering new recipes. She enjoyed bingo, movies, shopping, and auctions, where she delighted in finding unexpected treasures. She was also an enthusiastic gardener, though many plants bravely sacrificed themselves during her learning adventures.

Known for her wonderful sense of humour, Dale taught those around her the importance of kindness, family, and finding joy in life's ordinary moments. More than anything, she made sure her family knew they were loved.

Dale was predeceased by her mother, Marion Tremeer; her father, Bill Tremeer; her half-brother, Bob Johnston; her brother, Billy Tremeer; and her beloved cat, Missy Miss.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lana (Barry) Petersen and Robert (Lisa) Dyck; her seven grandchildren; her brothers, Jack (Eileen), Don, and Blair Tremeer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and beloved grand-puppers.

A private interment will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to a come-and-go memorial reception from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Edwards Family Centre, with parking available across the street at the Saskatoon Funeral Home.

In Dale's memory, hug your family a little tighter, play an extra game of bingo, buy the mysterious auction box, and do not take life's special moments for granted.

She would have wanted everyone to enjoy the day.
