It is with profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived that the family of Mary Darlene Robertson announces her passing.

Darlene was born on June 5, 1941, in Imperial, Saskatchewan, to Eldon and Margaret Abrey. She grew up surrounded by family and cherished the lifelong bonds she shared with her siblings: Alvin, Verna, Ted, and her brother Neil, who predeceased her in 1993.

On November 3, 1962, Darlene married Robert Keith Robertson (predeceased February 2020), beginning a partnership built on love, commitment, and family that spanned more than 57 years. Together they created a welcoming home and raised two sons, Rodney and Patrick, instilling in them the values of hard work, understanding, adventure, and the importance of family.

Darlene was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her son Rodney, his wife Cheryl, and their sons Kyle and Blake; and by her son Patrick, his wife Theresa, and their children Gavin and Kirstyn. She took immense pride in watching her family grow and treasured every opportunity to be together, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

Family adventures were at the heart of Darlene's life. She was an enthusiastic participant in countless camping trips throughout Western Canada, where she embraced the beauty of the outdoors alongside her husband, sons, and friends. Whether fishing on quiet northern lakes, hiking scenic trails, or supporting and participating in her boys' passion for dirt biking, Darlene was always there — encouraging, laughing, and making every outing feel special. Her quiet strength, adventurous spirit, and unwavering support created a lifetime of treasured family memories.

A particularly special place in Darlene's heart was the family cabin at Weyakwin, Saskatchewan. Lake life became a cherished tradition, where summers were filled with fishing, campfires, boating, family meals, laughter, and time spent surrounded by nature. The cabin was far more than a vacation destination—it was the gathering place where family bonds were strengthened, traditions were created, and lasting memories were made. For Darlene, there was no greater happiness than having her family together at the lake.

For many years, Darlene was also well known throughout her community as a dedicated Watkins Products representative. More than simply operating a business, she built lasting friendships through the personal relationships she developed with generations of loyal customers. She took pride in providing thoughtful service, enjoyed visiting with people, and appreciated the opportunity to connect with others. Her warmth, reliability, and genuine interest in people made her a familiar and welcome face wherever she went.

Darlene will be remembered for her warm smile, determination, gentle nature, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcome and cared for, and she found her greatest fulfillment not in grand gestures, but in the everyday moments shared with family and friends.

Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the values she quietly demonstrated every day: love, resilience, kindness, generosity, and the joy of being together.

Darlene will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, many friends, and the countless customers whose lives she touched through both friendship and her years with Watkins.
