David Gonick

It is with sadness the family announces that the death of David Gonick occurred at his residence in Langham, SK on Monday, February 17, 2025. David is survived by his brother Jeff Gonick, sister Aleyna (Davey) Mah, nephew Brayden, auntie Pat (Malcolm) Sobie, auntie Judy (Mitch) Kassen and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Bette-Ellen and Harold Gonick, aunt Libbie, grandparents Rose and Joe Gonick and Lily and Max Swartz and his uncles Matthew Gonick, Oscar Gonick and Toby Gonick.

David was born and raised in Saskatoon. He attended John Lake elementary school and took his high school education at Aden Bowman and City Park Collegiates. David worked in the trucking industry for most of his adult life. He was a dedicated and hard worker, always willing to help his co-workers and friends.

David loved to play and watch sports including hockey, football and baseball. His favorite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. Since he was young he was a very loyal fan.

David was very devoted to his family and many friends he was always willing to help others in time of need. He had a warm and generous heart and loved to give giant bear hugs. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A small family service has taken place and David has been laid to rest with his mother and father at Woodlawn Cemetery.
