David Willard May
December 26, 1931 – June 18, 2023
It is with great sorrow, that our family mourns the passing of David Willard May. Dave was a loving and devoted family man. He had a genuine sense of fair play and a keen sense of humour.
Dave will be deeply missed by his wife of 69 years, Lois; his daughter, Kendall (Glenn); Jill (Aaron); Jaeger; David (Alyssa); sister, Marilyn (Jack); Kelly (Diane); Dwayne (Stephanie); brother-in-law, Don (Lise); Dawn; Carter; and Dale.
David started his career as a Station Agent with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Over the years, he lived in many Saskatchewan small towns. Later, he worked as a Traffic Manager with PCA (Potash Corporation of America). He worked at PCA until his retirement. David loved meeting people and socializing.
Dave loved flying. He decided to learn how to fly an Ultralight Aircraft across the prairie skies. He would then regale us with his tales of what he had seen or done: and whom he'd met in various small town coffee shops. Imagine Dave flying into town, smiling and waving saying "time for coffee?"
Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Trinity Manor for their loving compassionate care they gave to our dad who they grew to know as "Super Dave". We would also like to thank the staff at Royal University Hospital for their kind, loving and compassionate care shown to Dave and our family.
David’s funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Saskatoon Funeral Home. A lunch will follow the service.
