Born December 2nd, 1976 in St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Deceased July 9th, 2025 at his home in Saskatoon.

Predeceased by his grandmother Darlene King of Saskatoon/Foam Lake and his father Bruce Noakes of North Vancouver.

David will be missed by his son Kingston Unger, his mother Debby King, his brothers Chris King and Bryan King, and those in his family who knew him.

I would like to thank Crocus Cooperative, specifically the director Corrine, for giving David a furnished supported living apartment last Oct 2024. He was able to have his son over for visits in the nicest place he had ever lived in on his own. I am grateful for the work that the Staff at his building were doing to bring David out of his shell.

David struggled with mental illness and disability most of his life. Many times over the past 30 years David came close to death. He did not seek death. Death came to him because of illness and poor choices. Those who know his story, know his struggle.

What I want people to know is that he tried, as hard as he was able, to be a good father to his son, Kingston; to be a good person that he could be proud of for Kingston; to be a good person.. period.

He was, at his core, a loving and gentle soul. He was never violent but found it difficult to make good and lasting relationships. People are complex and David was a simple soul struggling with anxiety and depression.

I want others to know that I Grieve not for David, whose struggles are over, but for the Death of Hope. I never stopped hoping that David would see Peace and Joy in his life.

I Grieve for his young son who will have to go forward without the surety of his dad's love as a safety net.

The suddenness of David's passing is a shock, but also not completely unexpected.

I love you, my David. I know how hard you were trying. It's ok.
