Deanna Rose Wells

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Deanna Rose Wells on May 6, 2026 at Saskatoon's Royal University Hospital.

 Deanna was born to Frances and Bernard (Bill) Gimas on June 22, 1940 in Carragana, Sk. 

She grew up in Weekes, SK, then moved to the big city of Saskatoon to attend Saskatoon Business College. There she met Keith Wells. They married in November 1959 and later parted in 1974. 

Deanna was a single Mom to Roxanne Wells and Kim Wilson. The threesome had a bond that is second to none. Always together through big fun and life's challenges. Then came her greatest gifts of all, Cody and Connor Justus. Baba loved her two grandsons fiercely as they loved her. She shared her love and time with her boys; from babysitting, to card games, family reunions, holiday meals and yard work the unbreakable bond between her and her 2 sweetheart boys has left a void in us all. We thank her for all the wonderful memories of a life she happily shared with us.

Mom loved to garden, cook, play cards, dance, visit and form lasting bonds with her many massage therapy clients/friends. She continued to massage into her 80's and had many dedicated friends and neighbors. She was great in keeping in contact with family and friends. Her regular telephone calls kept us all in the loop. 

In December of 2023, Mom made the difficult decision to sell her home on Avenue H North and move to a smaller apartment at Harry Landa Court. Happy hours continued and visits from friends and family. She really missed that house, her yard and mobility but never once complained. Thank you to her friends at Harry Landa. 

Her infectious smile and firecracker spirit will be missed forever. 

Deanna leaves to mourn her passing; daughters Roxanne Wells ( Cody Justus / Connor Justus), Kim Wilson, brothers Walter (Judy) Gimas, Melvin (Darlene) Gimas and countless nieces, nephews, cousins. 

We thank each and every one of you for being a special part of our Mom's life. Please join us in a Come and Go Celebration of Her Life at the Lynx Wing Club (2407 Avenue C North) on Friday, June 5th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
