Diane McClocklin passed on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with her family at her side.
Diane lived a full and meaningful life and was a cherished and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful person whose kindness and grace touched all who knew and loved her.
Diane was born on October 3, 1936 in Regina, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Gabrielle Dupmeier.Her parents came to Canada from Antwerp, Belgium in the 1920s and settled in Regina to begin married life. Diane and her sisters, Suzanne and Claudia, were educated at Sacred Heart Academy. She enjoyed lifelong friendships from her childhood, played high school basketball and looked forward to summer holidays at Regina Beach with her family. After moving to Saskatoon, Diane studied to become a Laboratory Technician at Royal University Hospital.
In 1961, Diane married Thomas McClocklin. Together, they welcomed and raised their three children Mary-Jo, Susan and Tom in the City Park neighbourhood. Diane and Tom were a great team. They worked hard to build a business, created a beautiful home, treasured summers at Waskesui Lake and raised their children with strong family values, a love of sport and a commitment to community.
Diane was an elegant, composed and thoughtful woman. She valued tradition, good manners and contributing to her community. Supporting her children in their varied activities, volunteering with the YWCA and being a faithful member of All Saints Anglican Church, were among the most meaningful aspects in Diane’s life. When her children were grown, Diane returned to work as a property manager at McClocklin Real Estate.
In addition, Diane had a love for fashion and was always tastefully styled, a talent for hosting beautiful parties, and never passed an opportunity to join family or friends to ski, hike, play tennis, or bridge afternoons with friends.
In retirement, Diane and Tom built a lovely home in Rancho Mirage, CA providing many years of enjoyment and always looked forward to planning new and exciting travel adventures.
Diane is survived by her husband of 65 years, Tom McClocklin, children: Mary-Jo (Brad) Devine, Susan (Tom) Stevenson, Tom (Keitha) McClocklin, grandchildren: Jessica, Stephanie, Joseph; Alexander, Sophie, Henry; Parker, Marisa, Great-grandchildren: Beau, Brooks; Eleanor, Jack
Diane’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate and professional staff at Luther Special Care Home, St. John’s Cathedral and Mrs. Nancy Baltzan.
A service for Diane will be held Thursday, October 22 at 2:30 pm at St. John’s Cathedral.
In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
