She is predeceased by her grandparents (Edward & Mary Bottomley), her father and mother (Harold & Dorothy Bottomley), brother (Donald Bottomley), father & mother-in-law (August & Gertrude Thiemann), brother-in-law (Gilbert Thiemann).

Dianne was born on March 25th, 1951 and was raised on the family farm in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. She had many stories to share with her children about growing up on the farm including; riding in the horse drawn caboose to get to school in the winter, the time spent jumping in the hay and straw bales and the adventures she and her brother would find themselves in, helping her grandparents and parents with all aspects of the farm, she loved animals and had many growing up on the farm along with a pet Jersey cow, she participated in the 4H club growing up, going to the family cabin where they enjoyed swimming and all things that the lake life provided. She was able to give her children the opportunity to experience what her childhood was like as they would spend their summers there with her and their grandparents.

Once she had graduated high school she moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to attend the Saskatoon Business College earning her Medical Secretarial Certificate. While living in Saskatoon she met the love of her life Philip Thiemann; they were married on September 4th, 1971 in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. She and Philip remained living in Saskatoon for a number of years before briefly moving to Calgary, Alberta for Philip`s job only to move back to Saskatoon where they remained.

She was a stay-at-home mom for a number years, where she could be at the ready for her children. As her children grew older she ran a daycare for a number of children so she could fill her time while her children were at school but to still be there if they needed her. She eventually decided to return to the work force. During her career she worked for the Saskatoon Health Region for many years and while working took an opportunity to attend the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan earning a Certificate in Business. Her last position was the Executive Assistant to the Medical Health Officer which she really enjoyed. She retired for a short time and decided she wanted to return to work and worked for the McClure United Church as a Secretary. She was involved with the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) for many years and traveled to many conferences in Canada and the USA. When she finally retired for good, she filled her time with many different activities and interests; getting together with friends for a meal or a round of golf, meeting with her Splurge Club friends, cooking a new recipe she found or creating one as she went, reading a paper book or one on many of her Kobo's, playing games on the computer or her iPad, she enjoyed listening to a wide for variety of music and attending concerts to see her favorite artists live, taking her daughters to musicals. She enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, especially her lilies, she loved to see them come into bloom and often took pictures of them to share.

Dianne loved to get together with family whether it was for family dinners, a visit or with extended family. She loved to travel and was able to visit many Canadian and American destinations, she also had many European destinations that she was able to cross of her ``I want to visit list`` and many more that she wanted to visit but was unable to make. She also loved baseball, particularly the Toronto Blue Jays, during the season you could find her watching a game, checking the score, or travelling to a city to catch a game in person. She loved lake life and enjoyed the many times she was able to make it to the lake to watch her grandchildren, spend time with her kids, take in a round of golf at a different course or sit on the deck with a cold beer and a book in hand. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas time. She would task her husband to bring in the many totes of decorations that she collected over the years and then spend many days decorating the house with her many Christmas Village displays, Nutcrackers, Snowmen and Santa figurines. She always had the house decorated with love and made sure that every Christmas was magical for her children and grandchildren.

Dianne was only a phone call or text away for her children, whether it was for advice, a chat, an emergency or them asking ``What`s for dinner``. She was always at the ready if they needed her to watch the grandkids, go shopping with them....she was there for everything.

Dianne had many uphill battles with her health over the past 25 years but fought a courageous battle and won many but in the end the battle became too great for her body to endure. She will be dearly missed but we will think, remember and tell stories of her often. We know that she will always be there in our hearts and minds and will be watching us from above.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses of the Royal University Hospital that cared for her during her final weeks as well as those other Sask Health facilities that cared for her during her life journey for the last 25 years.
