Dolores Ann Emery (nee Kuspira)
June 15, 1931 - August 6, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores Ann Emery on August 6, 2025, at the age of 94. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Jack Emery, her parents Michael and Anne Kuspira, her brothers John, Eddie, Carl, Art, Fred and Gregory, her sisters Bernice Kotyk, and Beverley Hardybala, her brothers-in-law Miro Kotyk and Peter Hardybala, her sisters-in-law, Joanne, Kim, Dianne and Nadine.

Dolores is survived by her children: Terri (Ralph), Dale (Terry), Shannon, Dan (Tammy), and Cathy (Larry) her brothers Bill (Judy), Bob (Judy) and sisters Helen and Betty. Dolores left behind 8 grandchildren Brittney (Mike), Steven (Hannah), Ryan, Leisell (Mike), Robert, Emily (Derek), Jett and Liam. Dolores is also survived by four great grandchildren Landon, Emmett, Sofia and Claire.

Mom was born on June 15th,1931 in Fonehill, Saskatchewan. She was one of 13 children in the Kuspira home. Being the third born, she was tasked with many chores and provided a helping-hand with the younger children who followed.

Dolores left home at an early age seeking employment in Winnipeg. After a few short years of work, she joined the Canadian Armed Forces and began a brief career at RCAF radar station in Edgar, Ontario. It was here she met Jack, her future husband.

Life in the Air Force took them to many military bases in Canada and beyond. They raised 5 children along the way. It was not always easy, but mom was not a complainer and she made the best of it. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. Her flower gardens were second to none (a Kuspira tradition). Mom took on part-time employment over the years, whether it be at a department store or coffee shop to help out with family expenses. She cherished the friendships made along the way and remained a faithful member to her church throughout her life. Dolores raised her children the best way she knew how. She was a perfect role model of kindness, honesty and principled values which she lived her life by. She expected the same from her kids. Dolores will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to the caregivers at St. Joseph's Nursing Home who took extraordinary care of both our mother and father. Thank you to our dear cousin Kelly Kuspira. We are forever grateful for the love and care you showed our parents over the years. God Bless.

A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Saskatoon Funeral Home 338 4th Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK.
