Dolores (Del) Marie Flahr (nee Rozon) was born on May 18, 1935 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Dolores was the oldest in a family of five, and a second mother to her four brothers (Larry, Daryl, Les and Len) when her father died at a very young age. Dolores enjoyed a brief, but rewarding career as a secretary and occasional announcer at CHAB radio in Moose Jaw.
On January 4, 1956, Dolores married her sweetheart and lifelong love, Bill Flahr. In two short years she had two boys (Billy and Dan) with two more children to follow (Stacy and Brett). After many years of following the oil rigs throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta, the Flahrs settled in Saskatoon in 1966.
Dolores loved to socialize, and knew all the neighbours; she also loved to bowl, winning a few trophies that were proudly displayed. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family: wiener roasts at the acreage, family barbecues and reunions. She also loved art, creating papertole pictures, paintings and ceramics.
Dolores was a supportive, devoted and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her children and their families unconditionally, she was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), of over 70 years on July 19, 2026. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Bill Jr and Donna, Dan, Stacy, Brett and Debbie and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
“Grief is the measure of how deeply we dared to love.”
