1946 – 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather.  Don passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at the age of 72.  Don is  survived by Frieda, his high school sweetheart, who would become his wife of 51 years; his children Christina (Devon) Currie-Stout  and Cheryl (Jeffrey) Hunt;  his granddaughter Hailey and grandsons Mason, Jarret and Taron; as well as siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins .  Don was born in Saskatoon, raised in Calgary, resided in Leduc, and returned to Saskatoon to raise his family.  The family wishes to extend gratitude to Dr. A.J. Harrington for his exceptional care of Don throughout the years, the Emergency and ICU staff at Royal University Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital. Full obituary and details of Don’s memorial service to be published at a later date.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
