Donald "Don" Gill

August 12, 1951 - September 10, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald John Gill on September 10, 2024. Don was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Darline Gill; his brother, Wayne Gill; his sister, Sharon Gill; and his granddaughter, Aura Madsen-Gill. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Charlene Gill; his children, Michael Gill, and Dawn Humphreys (David); and his cherished grandchildren, Taylor Maracle, Brandon Maracle, Addison Gill, Brooklyn Gill, Ryder Gill, Charis Humphreys, and Jasper Humphreys. He is also survived by his brother, Gerry Gill (Alice), and his sisters, Diane Evans (Ken) and Dorothy Ryan (Pat) and his honorary daughter Charissa Delaire (Andre). Don was a devoted and passionate salesman who could light up any room with his infectious sense of humor. He was often the life of the party, and his kindness and charm made everyone feel at ease. A true romantic, Don frequently surprised Charlene with flowers and homemade candlelit dinners, always finding ways to show his love in the smallest, most meaningful gestures. As a fun-loving father, Don created unforgettable moments with his children, whether by sneaking them out of school for spontaneous adventures or taking them to steal crab apples. His sense of fun and adventure was never far from the surface. Don's favorite hobbies included darts, card games, soaking in the hot tub, and relaxing on the deck, where he loved to enjoy the beauty of his yard. Don will be deeply missed, but the wonderful memories and love he shared with his family and friends will continue to comfort us in the days ahead.
