It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Don Riley on Sunday October 22nd, 2023 at the Langham Personal Care Home after numerous health issues.

He will be fondly remembered by his 2 sons: Dwayne and Darren (Kerry-Anne); half brother, Gord Olson; half sisters, Barb Olson, Linda (Dennis) McCarthy and Val (Rory) Kendry; sister-in-law, Sylvia Joubert Johnson (Don); brother-in-law, Lionel Joubert (Ann) and numerous other relatives.

He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Dianne; father, Alvin Riley; mother, Ginger Riley; and mother and father-in-law, Joe and Olga Joubert.

Don had a lifelong passion for fastball, notably the Saskatoon Masters Softball Team which he was involved with for 35 years and was where he met long time friend Roger Malmgren.  He was an avid curler at the CN Curling Club for over 45 years.

He loved watching sports: The Toronto Blue Jays, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Chicago Black Hawks, Green Bay Packers and any curling that was on TV. He also loved all his Granddogs.

A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27th, 2023 at Saskatoon Funeral Home.  For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed.
