Dora Mae Hazen

It is with mixed emotions that the family announces the peaceful passing of Dora Hazen, on Monday September 14, 2026, at the age of 94.

We take comfort in knowing that not only is Mom finally painfree and resting at peace where she has been reunited with the love of her life, our dad Miles, our eldest brother Chris & his son Steven; not to mention numerous other family members and good friends.

Mom (Grams) will be lovingly remembered by daughter Marla (Ken); sons Tim & Cam; daughters-in-law Linda & Tracy; grandchildren Tammy, Becky (Stewart), Jess, Scott, Sarah (Brett), Jordi (Athus), Darren (Kim), Brad, & Andrea; great grandchildren Jaz, Carson, Cameron, Kassie, Ashlee (Brett), Aymee & Allee (Jesse).

She was predeceased by her Mom & Dad (Thomas & Mabel Vick), brother Cliff; her husband of 50 years, Miles (2003); son Chris (2022); and grandson Steven (1991).

Many memories of Mom will be cherished, and over the years, we never ended a visit or a phone chat, without saying "I Love You". Even in her final days when her voice became more faint, hearing her say those words in our ear, will always give us the warmth & comfort of being loved by our Mom (Grams).

Mom will always forever be remembered by family and friends for her unmistakable vibrant & hearty laugh that filled the room. We will also remember her for being an avid and faithful fan of the Toronto Blue Jays & the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. She also never missed a beat for having boxes of smarties on hand or in her purse for when she saw her precious grandkids & great grandkids.

We would like to truly thank Fei, Shiva & all of the Care Aides in the Northern Lights Care Home, where Mom resided in her last year. Their care and compassion was a blessing, and a comfort for us, as they cared for Mom with great kindness & regard, as if she were their own Mom.

We also want to thank Dr. Sulaiman, Dr. Spelay & the Home Care nurses who looked after Mom's medical well being over the past several years.

Thank you as well to Gerry & the Saskatoon Funeral Home for your services and continued guidance. There will not be a funeral, however a burial at the Woodlawn Cemetery family plot, is to be planned at a later date.
