Doris was born in Orillia, Ontario on October 8, 1938. She will be dearly missed by her three children; Cindy (Trent), Brian (Susan) and Angela (Tal). Grandchildren; Curtis ( Breanne), Chris (Tanya), Colin, Andrew, Nathan, Bryn, Erin, Justin, Nicole (Adam) and Dylan. Great Grandchildren; MacKenzie, Teagan, Alexas, Codey, Braden, Joshua, Nathan, Isaiah and Lucas. Also missing her are Cliff’s children; Doug (Cheryl), Maureen (Lee), Wendy ( Glenn) and Richard. Grandchildren; Jason, Adam, Spencer, Jay, Jesse, Kayla, Steven and Shyla. Doris’s two sisters; Carol Ann (Nick) and Gail were around to help with Doris’s care at the end of her journey. Many hugs and kisses to both of them. She was predeceased by Cliff (her loving husband of 37 years), her parents Alex and Fern, her first husband Peter Smith and her grandson Spencer Smith. Doris loved to travel to Ontario to visit her sisters and their families. She worked at Wawanesa Insurance for many years. After retiring, she became very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion, donating many hours of her time and enjoying every minute of it. She also bowled in a league every winter. But her favorite times were spent with her family. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Paul’s Hospital 5th Floor and Flex 2 Unit. Special thanks to Karena and Kyle who so caringly looked after her in her final days. Donations in Doris’s name would be appreciated to Ronald McDonald House, online at www.RMH.sk.ca  or mail to 1011 University Dr. Saskatoon Sk. S7N 0K4. A Celebration of Doris’s life will be held at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Sue Panattoni as celebrant.
