Douglas James Welsh

Douglas Welsh was born on the farm at Kinistino on December 21, 1931 and passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 in Saskatoon at the age of 94.

He is survived by his wife Dolores and his children Theran (Julie), Glenda (Mark) and son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren Jackson, Taylor, Lauren Welsh; Kyle (Tara) Ness, Kent Ness Kurt, (Corey) Ness, Leah (Frank), Angela (Jared), Rebecca (Shaan) and Hannah (Emmanuel) Weckworth.

His great grandchildren Ray, Brielle, Hailey Ness, Thomas, Wyatt Ness, Sunshine, Shade Ness; Jack, Lily Lakatos; Maya Christenson, Niam and Nikhil Kapila. Also sister Mary Lyons, brother-in-law Evert Whelen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Doug was predeceased by his parents Donald and Ruby Welsh, In-laws Ardinal and Edith Whelen, sisters Arlie and Betty Lyons, brother-in-laws Howard and Sid Lyons, sister-in-law Elenora Whelen, daughter Patti Ness, grandson Matthew Weckworth as well as many cherished friends.

There will be a Celebration of his Life at 10 AM Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
