Douglas Wyatt

It is with sadness the family of Douglas (Doug) Wyatt announces his passing on April 4, 2025 at Royal University Hospital. Doug is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol, son Glen (Deb) children Brandon and Ashley (Trent), son Jim (Tracey) children Sydney, Denim, Daughter Diane (Cameron) children Daxon (Marissa) and Olivia (Zach), and great grandchild Theo. 

Doug was born in Conquest, SK on October 29, 1940, and he was raised in Delisle, Sk. He began his career with the Saskatoon Fire Department in 1962, retiring in 1986, and was involved in the family business Listowel Trophies for over 40 years. He was also member of the Kiwanis Club of Riversdale for 38 years. 

Doug was a sports enthusiast. Notably he represented Saskatchewan at the Briar in 1972, and represented Saskatchewan six times at the Canadian Firefighter Curling Championships, winning 4 times. He was president of the Hub City Curling Club 1970-71 and was a member of SG&CC for 47 years. Doug also coached Women's Softball in the mid 60's. He served Holliston Rec. for five years coaching girls' softball and boys' hockey, as well as being extensively involved in the Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association, serving as Zone Commissioner and also President 1982-86. He was Executive Member of S.A.H.A. 1986-88, and Chairman 1988-91. He represented S.A.H.A. at C.A.H.A before becoming President of S.A.H.A. 1991-1998. Doug was inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
