Earl Hanson

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Earl Hanson on February 11 ,2020 while in the care of St. Paul ’s Palliative Care.  Earl was surrounded by his beloved Jeannie and family.  Left to cherish his memory are his partner in life and everything, Jeanette Fedrau, her children and grandchildren, Earl’s children Wendy, Kelly, Kevin, Terry, their partners and families.

Earl left an indelible mark on his Mayfair/Hudson Bay community family and friends after spending 3\4 of a century in his boyhood home.  Earl’s greatest joys were coaching hockey, watching sports, going to the lake, camping with his kids, working, and enjoying the yard with family.  Earl loved visiting people.  He was the most accepting, positive and gentle soul we ever knew.   There were countless romantic gestures that made it clear to all, his heart belonged to his Jeannie always and forever.

Earl and Jeannie attended many concerts and were blessed to have their own private concert with musical therapist Ruth in Palliative Care shortly before his passing. Of all the holidays throughout the year Christmas was his favorite, perhaps because Christmas Eve he met his Jeannie 34 years ago.  There will always be a very empty space in our lives without Earl, but he will live on in our hearts.  A private family service will be held honouring Earl’s life.
