Edna Downey

EDNA DOWNEY 1927 - 2017 The family of Edna Downey are saddened to announce her passing at 89 years of age on July 1, 2017 at Tudor Manor, Okotoks, AB. Our loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma has gone to join her parents and brothers. Edna was a wonderful and loving mother of a large close family. She is survived by her husband Keith, children Debra (Grant), Pat (Paul), Karen (Clarence), Richard (Mei Li) and Kevin, 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter with another on the way. She was predeceased by her brothers Len and Sid Brewer and her son-in-law Clarence Jones. Edna was born and grew up in Saskatoon. It was there she met and married her husband Keith. They travelled to many places over their 64 years of marriage. Edna loved her family and cared for us all. She made a home full of laughter, love and music. She enjoyed meeting new people and was always happy to sit and chat with anyone who wanted to talk. She was an active member of St. Paul's and St. Martens United Churches. She loved to sing in the choir and helped run a mean garage sale! We would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Brenda Stafford Foundation Tudor Manor Okotoks for their loving care over the past months. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
