Eileen Stanton

Eileen Stanton of Saskatoon, SK, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with her one true love, Romain Ross “John” Stanton, along with many other loved ones who left this world before her.

Eileen was a loving mother to Lorrie Wiens (Andy) and Ken Stanton (Darcie), and a devoted grandmother to Evan, Justin, Nick, and Matt. Most recently, she was joyfully given the title of Great-Grandma to Victor Malgarin Stanton.

Eileen spent her life caring for others. Whether looking after daycare children, grandchildren or aging family members and friends, she always found ways to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

She will be remembered for her love of family get-togethers, coffee visits with friends, and crocheting. She especially enjoyed bingo dates with her sister Sherry and special sister-in-law Arlene Dyck. Above all, Eileen treasured all the time she spent with her family and friends.

Eileen is survived by her sister, Sherry McAllister (Harry), and brother, Gerald Dyck (Bernice), as well as surviving sisters-in-law’s, nieces, and nephew.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John; infant daughter, Sheila; parents, Abe and Elsie Dyck; brothers Wilf, Wes, Barry, and Elmer; niece Kim McElligott; and nephew Trevor Dyck.

There will be no funeral service, as per Eileen’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon SPCA in Eileen’s memory or to a charity of your choice

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Thiel and the staff at the Saskatoon Convalescent Home for the compassionate care they provided and for keeping our mom comfortable during her final days.

Arrangements entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home, 306-244-5577.
