Elaine Ann Bay was born on July 19, 1955, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. She began her education in Guernsey and completed high school in Lanigan before pursuing post-secondary studies in hairdressing.
Elaine started her career in a beauty salon, but due to allergies, she chose a new professional path. She joined Saskatoon Credit Union, where she advanced through various roles in the Teller, Loans, and Administration & Data departments. Following her retirement, Elaine continued to stay active, taking on part-time work that reflected her creativity and community spirit — from helping at a Christmas store to baking pies for a Farmers Market vendor and assisting in the market’s administration office.
Elaine was known for her generosity, warmth, and vibrant personality. She loved showering her nieces and nephews with affection, listening to alternative rock music, celebrating all things Christmas, traveling, reading, knitting, crocheting and collecting angels.
