Eleanor May Mario

Eleanor passed away on July 11, 2023 in Saskatoon at the age of 88.

She was predeceased by her husband Tony Mario in 2006. She is survived by her children Kurt Mario (Louise), Crystal Mario (Peter), Brett Mario (Laurie), Lisa Mario (Brent), grandchildren Sarah (Scott), Scott (Jessie), Ashley, Ashley (Jeremy), Andrew, Alex, Dustin (Allie), Dallas (Whitney), Kristi, and great-grandchildren Aiden, Bennett, Linkoln, Lennox, Jaida, Rufus, Arthur, and her brother Gordon Jackson.

Eleanor was born on April 10, 1935 and was raised on a farm in the Echo Lake region. She attended school in Fort Qu’Appelle and then graduated nursing school in Regina, in 1956. She married Anthony (Tony) Mario on October 13, 1956, and then worked at Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina until 1963. They moved to Saskatoon where she then worked at St. Paul’s Hospital until retirement.

Eleanor was a member of Christ Church Anglican Parish. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, travelling with friends, as well as attending weddings, birthdays and anniversary celebrations. She was devoted to her family, friends, and profession.

The funeral service for Eleanor will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14th at Christ Church Anglican Parish (515 - 28th St W, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 4R5)

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Church Anglican Parish.
