Eleanor Senger

Eleanor Senger (nee Hanishewski) passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Senger, her father, Peter Hanishewski, her mother Mary Matsalla and her siblings, Joe, John (Helen), Florence (John), Walter, and Annie.

Eleanor was born in the Dobrowody district on March 24, 1937. She grew up on the farm and attended school in Rama, SK. She moved to Saskatoon and married Raymond Senger on June 30, 1959. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2025.

She leaves behind her daughter Brenda (granddaughters Lindsay (Adam) & Amy, great-granddaughters Laurel & Rachel) and her son, Brad (Brenda, grandsons Brodie & Jerrod (Amanda)) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo, going for coffee with friends and winning on her "scratch tickets". She was proud of her work at Emmanuel College. Her faith and church community were important to her throughout her life.

Our sincere appreciation to Dr. Kurt Roelens for his patience and kindness with mom. Also, to EMS and the staff at RUH emergency for their care of mom in her last days.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at St. Philip's Church (1902 Munroe Ave. South) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
