Elizabeth Chmilowsky

CHMILOWSKY (Russell) Elizabeth 78, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 26, 2025. She was a loving Auntie, wife and sister. Her husband Ted, her parents Joseph and Jean, brothers Thomas, Henry, and Jimmy and sisters Jean and Sadie preceded her in death. Elizabeth is survived by her siblings, Mary, Janet and Jessie, and many nieces and nephews and their children. Elizabeth married the love of her life in Winnipeg. They spent many years travelling across North America in their motor home and camping out at Richer Manitoba. Elizabeth worked for many years in Manitoba in telecommunications and the restaurant business before retiring and moving to live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and proudly supported them in the sea of Green. She loved to sing and dance and was often the life of any gathering. Elizabeth made many special friends and will be sadly missed by them all. Thank you to Natasha, Colleen, Dave, Molly and all those who made her last days so very memorable. As one friend said

"She taught me so much about having no regrets, being unapologetically me and doing what makes me happy no matter what others think"

Elizabeth was feisty and strong and faced her illness so bravely.

 Special Thanks to the palliative care unit at St Paul's hospital for their dedication and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Private family celebrations of life will take place in Saskatoon, and internment in Winnipeg.
