Betty was born and raised in Prince Albert, SK, the youngest daughter of Archie and Nancy Davey. Predeceased by parents, siblings (Ken, Jack, Jean ) and her youngest daughter Maureen.
Betty attended Prince Albert Collegiate Institute before attending U of S where she graduated with her BA Degree. She then attended UBC for her BSW degree and U of Manitoba for her MSW.Betty married Jim McLeod in Regina and together they had 5 children, Jim, Bev, Liz, Terry and Maureen.
Betty worked for many years in the healthcare system in Saskatchewan. She found her work in psychiatry, medicine and administrative duties both challenging and rewarding.
Betty later moved to Ontario where she worked as a family therapist (Blue Hills Academy) and as Director of Social Work at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington.
She returned to Saskatchewan some years later in order to be closer to her beloved Waskesiu. There Betty met and married Renne Anderson. Together they enjoyed many winters in Yuma and summers at Waskesiu.
In her younger years, Betty loved playing tennis, skiing, curling and in her later years, golf. Her biggest love was to be on the water at Waskesiu followed up by a hot dog roast at one of the many sandy beaches along the lake. She was also known as an avid sports enthusiast and fan following tennis, curling, football (Riders) and hockey.
Betty had a wonderful sense of humour, was a great listener and always ready to provide sage advice when asked. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Completing the circle of life, Betty will be laid to rest with her parents and siblings in Prince Albert South Hill Cemetery during the summer of 2027.
