Elizabeth "Betty" Wieler (Nickel) passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on September 15, 2025.

She was born in 1939 to Jacob and Elisabeth Nickel in Great Deer, Saskatchewan. She completed her high school at Rosthern Junior College, and attended nursing school at City Hospital before working at University Hospital and later at Porteous Lodge.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Sandra (Randy), Barbara (Paul), Patricia (Cameron); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings Jake and Erika, and sisters-in-law Anita, Jo, Joan, Fritzie, brother-in-law Paul, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Fred Wieler, siblings Wally, Paul, William, and Cornelius, and several in-laws.

The family would like to thank the staff at Central Haven, as well as all who provided compassionate, dedicated care for mom over these past years.

Betty's Celebration of Life will be held at Nutana Park Mennonite Church (1701 Ruth St East) on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2 p.m.
