Emma was born in 1930 and lived her childhood on their family farm 1 ½ miles southeast of Zelma. She got her love of the outdoors there and never left her. In 1950 she moved to her own farm with her new husband Wes and began their life together. They raised four kids there along with improving their yard and land base. There were neighbors on all sides so lots of visiting and friends all around. In 1982 their life was sadly interrupted when Wes suddenly passed away. A move to town was in order. Seniors club, coffee crowd and the rink in winter was her social time for the next forty years while always supporting her children and grandchildren. Toward the very end she needed to move to assisted living in Saskatoon then to St. Ann's for total care till she passed. We would like to commend the staff for the caring manner they took with Mom. Many thanks. Donations may be made to the Colonsay Cemetery or Colonsay Rec Board.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Colonsay Community Hall.
