Ethel May Lancaster

Ethel May Lancaster died at home in Saskatoon Wednesday January 2nd, 2019. She was born January 25, 1920 in Melfort, Saskatchewan to George and Mary Furminger, the last of four children. In 1941 Ethel married Harold Douglas (Pat) Lancaster from Melfort. Ethel worked in a number of jobs during her time in Melfort. She was a legal secretary for the Eisner Law Firm, teletype operator for the Melfort Journal, and bookkeeper for Lefebvre Distributors / Greenland Fertilizer until she retired in 1985.

Ethel moved from Melfort to Saskatoon in 2000 and resided there until her death. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Pat (1971) and son Gerald Allen Lancaster (2009). She is survived by her daughter Jane Lynne Lancaster, two sons, Terrence Patrick Lancaster (Donna) and Paul Charles Lancaster (Suzanne Macvey), three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
