Jones, Fay Christina
Jan. 11, 1927 - Feb. 10, 2025
Fay was born in Dinsmore Sask. and raised on the family farm at Anerley Sask. and in Saskatoon where her family also owned a home.
She attended Nutana Collegiate and after graduation she attended Normal School graduating and becoming a teacher.
It was while teaching in a school near Clavet where she met her future husband Robert Bartholemew Erixon Jones (Bob Jones) whose family farmed in the area. They were married and raised their family on the farm at Clavet, the farm at Anerly and home is Saskatoon.
They had five children, Fern, Brian, Casey, Jason and Donna.
After selling the farm they retired in Saskatoon and spent the winters in Yuma Arizona, purchasing a place there.
Fay and Bob liked to travel and visited many places in the world, particularly Sweden where Fay's mother and family came from to homestead in Saskatchewan.
Fay loved to play cards and games with family and friends (and her computer). She also liked music and dancing. You would often see her tapping her fingers or foot to a song.
She was a great salesman and an astute business woman. She was a positive, bright person and a devout Christian attending Augustana Lutheran Church and services online.
We love our mother, grandmother and friend and will see her in heaven.
A burial and gathering will take place this summer at the Bradwell Cemetery at a time to be decided upon.
