Felix John Arcand

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Felix John Arcand on April 28, 2026 at St. Paul's Hospital at the age of 97 years.

Felix was born on June 26, 1928, in Titanic, SK to Gaspard and Rosina (Slater) Arcand. He grew up at the farm in Titanic, SK with his parents and siblings. He didn't get much education as he had to help with farming.

Felix met Mary when their families would visit each other in Duck Lake, SK. They ended up marrying in 1960 in Titanic, SK and they moved to Saskatoon, SK and started having a family. Felix worked construction at various companies throughout his life until he retired earlier than expected due to a back injury.

Felix was very social, and loved the mother of his children, his children, his grandchild, and his entire family. He enjoyed tending to his garden and growing his own flowers and watching them bloom, woodworking, making wishing wells and bird feeders, outdoor cedar chairs, watching TV shows, watching wrestling with his son David, family celebrations whether it was immediate family or extended family. He always enjoyed taking pictures of his family, extended family and friends and proudly hanging them in his house. Felix was not a rich man but tried to help his family and everyone he could. He enjoyed his nightly ritual of having corn flakes at 7pm every night and during covid when he couldn't find any boxes of corn flakes, his daughter put it on Facebook and ended up with half a dozen boxes of corn flakes that he was surprised and happy people cared enough to do that for him. If any of you eat corn flakes, please think of him when you do.

Felix was fiercely independent and strong, remaining in his own home until the age of 97. He enjoyed catching up with loved ones, always eager for a good conversation and cherishing the connections he made. He loved various types of music including country, fiddling and waltzes and enjoyed the annual masses held at Titanic, SK, especially the one where they held a picnic lunch. It was very important for him to go home to Titanic, SK and stay connected with his family and friends.

Felix will be deeply missed by his partner Mary Arcand, his children Lorraine Arcand-Allan, David Arcand, Rita Clancy and Monique Arcand (Wayne Deguire). He leaves behind one cherished granddaughter Christina Clancy. He is also survived by his sister Denise (Lyle) Leuschen, Mary's siblings, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by his kindness and warmth.

Felix was predeceased by his parents: Gaspard and Rosina Arcand, Mary's parents Frank Larcoque and Dora Larcoque Fehr, beloved son-in-law Leonard Clancy, and his siblings Adrian (Cecilia) Arcand, Theresa (Joseph) Kuppenbender, Leo Arcand, Rosaire Arcand, Leona (Lionel) Fiddler, Joseph (Rita) Arcand, Emile Arcand, and Lillian (Don) Lindsay and many special nieces and nephews and friends.
