Felix "Phil" Alexander Saretsky (1928 - 2025) went to be with our Lord on January 22, 2025 while at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. Surviving him are his son, Richard Saretsky (Veronica); his daughter, Cindy Coffin (Bill); his grandchildren, Blayne Burrows (Jordy), Andrew Coffin (Sarah), Maxine Deys (J.P.) and Emma Saretsky; and four great-grandchildren, Easton, Cooper, Ceci, and Liam. Phil was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine (nee Butler); his parents, A. J. Saretsky and Anna Gurski; his brothers, George, Jake, Emil and Rudy; and his sisters, Madeline, Cecilia, Anne, Agnes, Lenore, Mildred and Joan.
Phil was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather (Great Pop). He was active in community sports, coaching hockey and baseball and was an avid curler and golfer. He worked 36 years for the CPR before retiring to the snowbird lifestyle in El Centro, California. He loved lake life and enjoyed many summers with his family and friends at his cabins on Memorial Lake and Emma Lake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held April 4, 2025 at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon) at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Paul's Hospital Palliative Care unit would be appreciated.
