FRED   HAMM

1931  -  2016

It with sadness  the family announces  Fred Hamm passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 87 years of age.  Son of Joseph and Martha (DeMong) Hamm, Fred was born on May 22, 1931 at Bruno, SK.  He is lovingly remembered by Elaine, his wife of 30 years, his children Stan (Carmen), Peggy, Doug (Robynn), Donna Laye, Bob (Maureen), Mary, Jeff (Connie), Dave (Margaret), stepson Warren, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his sister Veronica.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Myrtle (Folick), infant son Stanley Fred, step-daughter Karen, his parents, brother Norbert, and sisters Sue Cloutier and Marie Hamm.

Fred enjoyed barbering for 64 years at various shops in Saskatoon including Hamm's Barber Stylist.  An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a gentle and kind person for whom family and church were very important.  He was respected and loved by many.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church with Fred's cousin, Father Lawrence DeMong, OSB, as presiding celebrant.  Committal  Rites and interment will take place in the Roman Catholic section at  Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saskatoon Friendship Inn or Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish
