Funmilola Azeezat Salami

Funmilola Salami passed away on the 17th of May 2024, at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK.

Funmi was born in Lagos, Nigeria to Kayode and Olabisi Salami on October 20, 1983 and was 40years old.

She was predeceased by: her mum Olabisi Salami (September 24, 2014) and her nephew David Salami (November 22, 2020).

Funmi is survived by: her dad Kayode Salami; her brothers Gbenga and Femi; her step sister Jiire; her sister-in-law Yvonne and nephew Amari Joshua; warmly remembered by all her friends and loved by many members of her extended family and her in-laws.

Funmi received her education at Ifako International School in Lagos; Lagos State Polytechnic; BSc Finance from Babcock University; MBA Lagos Business School. She worked as a Project Coordinator/ Junior Product Manager, Airtel NG; Project/ Program Manager, Lottomania NG before moving to Saskatoon, April 2023.

Funmi was quiet, reserved, kind, caring and one of the most selfless and smartest people you would ever meet. She was always calm and nothing seemed to ruffle or bother her, she would always say ‘you’ll be fine’. She was playful, funny and chatty, once she lets you in to see that side of her.
