November 21, 1953 – May 2, 2018

Garnet passed away suddenly due to cancer. Garnet is survived by his son, Alexander, his parents, Anthony and Jean Hayden, brothers, Greg (Michelle) of Calgary, AB, Brett (Barbara) of Squamish, BC and Rick (Chelsea) of Asquith, SK. Garnet is predeceased by his sister, Dalyce of Red Water, AB.

Garnet attended Boughton and King George elementary schools and Bedford Road Collegiate. Recipient of the Fighting Heart Trophy for high school exemplified his approach to the challenges of his life. Further education in the College of Commerce at the U of S.

Garnet worked as a conductor for CP rail and later worked as a welder. He had a love for animals and the outdoors, especially birds and would quite often spend time feeding pigeons and looking after his many plants.

He did not go gently into the dark night.

A private, family service will be held for Garnet.
