Garth Evans

Garth Ellery Evans passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 10, 1950, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and lived a life defined by dedication to family and friendships.

Garth was the devoted husband of 35 years to Laurie Evans (née Cleghorn). He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Erin Glover (Ryan) and Kelly Sikorski, and an adoring grandfather to Jackson and Owen Glover, and Taylor and Benson Sikorski.

Garth is also survived by his brother Allan, sister-in-law Janet Stephenson, brother-in-law Jim Cleghorn (Beth) and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Ev Evans, sister-in-law Bev Evans and brother-in-law Don Stephenson.

Garth built a distinguished career in banking that spanned more than 40 years, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his integrity, professionalism, and steady leadership.

At Garth's request there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to STARS (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service Foundation).
