George Neufeld

George Neufeld passed away on June 11th, 2026 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon SK at the age of 85 with his grand-daughter Andrea and brother Bill by his side.

George is survived by his three children - Wayne, Bonnie and Kevin; his siblings - Kathy (& Melvin), Bill (& Shirley), Ann (& Ervin), Brenda (& George), and Brian (& Twyla); and his step children and grandchildren - Gale (& Larry), Cheryl (& Randy), Jason (& Amber), Shannon (& Roy), Cherylee, Andrea (& James), Hannah, Zachary, Everly, Kailey, Dylan, Elouise and Jackson.

George is preceded in death by his wife Edith Van Der Velden, both his parents - John and Agatha Neufeld and two siblings Rubin and Ruth.

He was born on February 14th, 1941 in Rosthern SK and was raised on a farm near Duck Lake SK.

George's favourite pastimes were watching hockey and cheering for the Toronto Maple Leaf's and going for drives. He had a passion for taking road trips with Edith, camping with family and exploring both the province and country throughout his life. Before the passing of his wife, they would often enjoy weekly trips to have dinner in various towns around the province, this was always the highlight of George's week. As well as traveling and driving George enjoyed having regular coffee visits with his brother, and dinner with his grandchildren.

George was always the first to lend a helping hand to those around him and will be deeply missed by his loved ones and those who's lives he touched.
