George Sherban

The death of George Sherban, age 88 years, occurred on October 3, 2025. George is survived by his loving family: sons, Brad (Lynn Peterson) and Brent; and daughters Belinda (Chris Starks) and Bridget (Randy Strawson) and his beloved grandchildren Wilson and Charles Starks, and Macy Strawson. He was predeceased by his wife and mother of his children Margaret, his second wife Alice, his parents, and four brothers. George will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed a career in power engineering, and many years of retirement spent at Emma Lake.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, at St. Paul’s Co-Cathedral, 720 Spadina Crescent East. Memorial donations may be made in memory of George to St. Joseph’s Home, 33 Valens Drive, Saskatoon. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home, 306-244-5577.
