Gerald "Gerry" Jack Weinkauf

Survived by his lifelong partner Jeanette Elder; his children: Lori Vaughn (David), Debbie Kowalski (Kevin) and Gerry. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary (Dec. 29, 1976 – Dec. 31, 1976); his grandchildren: Christopher, Travis, Alicia, Kaileen, Madison Vaughn-Parra (Mario) and Morgan; his great grandchildren: Kayden, Brooklyn, Lilliana, Rocket, Sienna and Eleanor.

He also leaves behind two brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Rosie Weinkauf, his daughter Mary, his brother Donny and his brother-in-law Steve Supruniuk.

Gerry came from a family of eight. He grew up in Denzil, SK, moved to Lloydminster and finally resided in Saskatoon, where he spent the rest of his life.

He loved antique cars, which was probably the reason he was involved in the autobody business all his life.

He was also very musically inclined. He played the banjo, drums, plus both electric and acoustic guitar. He had a family band with his brothers and dad where they played at weddings and dances.

Gerry loved watching sports, especially the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

His favourite meal was steak, so he enjoyed having barbecues with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever he could.

Family meant the world to him. At the end of every phone call he always said “I love you, and tell all the grandkids and great grandkids that I love them very much”.

We love you too Gerry, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. We will all miss you very much.

Prayers for Gerry will be Friday June 12, 7:00 pm at Saskatoon Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be on June 13, 2026, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 1224 12th Street East, Saskatoon.
