Harold Thomas Harding

August 23, 1949 — October 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harold Thomas Harding announce his sudden passing on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Harold was the fifth child in a family of seven born to Nellie and Bill Harding on August 23, 1949 in Neepawa, Manitoba.

Harold is survived by his wife of fifty years, Starr (Hamilton), daughter Kara Harding, son-in-law Brent Wolfater and grandchildren Caera and Cayson. Harold will also be lovingly remembered by sisters Valerie (Bob) Radford and Jeanette Harding, sisters-in-law Lois Harding and Caroline Harding as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Tamara (Wolfater), his parents Nellie and Bill, and brothers Dave, Gordon, Earl and Larry Harding.

Harold left Manitoba for Saskatoon in the early seventies where he met Starr while working for his brother. He had a 30 year long career at Intercontinental Packers. For the last 14 years he has worked for Prairie Pride as a live haul truck driver.

For many years Harold could be found roaming around Saskatchewan hunting for white tail deer. He was a proud, long-serving member of the Knights of Columbus. Harold also took great pleasure in spending time with family at Emma Lake where he enjoyed driving his boat and even participated in a water ski pyramid. He delighted in camping in the family's motor home at Lakes Diefenbaker and Memorial where hours were spent with his girls playing canasta. Despite knowing the girls were cheating they were unable to win.

Harold had a sweet tooth and couldn’t walk by a bakery without buying a donut or dozen. He also enjoyed Starr’s homemade apple pie. Harold was known for being a terrific handyman. If he didn’t know it, he’d figure it out. He even took a course to fine tune his electrical knowledge. There was no challenge he wouldn’t accept.

In more recent years Harold enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like his grandchildren and going for long rides on his Honda Redwing motorcycle.

He will be deeply missed and loved by those who knew him. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
