Born: December 5, 1991 in Saskatoon at Royal University Hospital to Janice Poundmaker and Randall Vermette.

Early Life: Janelle grew up in Saskatoon and North Battleford surrounded by her massive and loving family. She attended preschool at Children's Learning Center, elementary school at George Vanier and graduated at E.D. Feehan Catholic High School. Janelle resided in both Cheshire Homes and Parkridge Center where she was supported by a great team of caregivers, social and community workers. Janelle had an early love for anime T.V. shows including Pokémon and Sailor Moon as her favorites.
Death: Janelle passed away peacefully on Thursday June 26, 2025 at 9:50 pm at Royal University Hospital holding her mother's hand.
Survived: Janice Poundmaker (mother), Jaleesa-Raye (sister), Janessa-Faye (Rance) Poundmaker (sister), Josh Press (brother), Andrew Press (brother), Heather Press (sister), Tom Press (brother), Elaine (Dale) Poundmaker-Caron (auntie), Leslie Checkosis (uncle), Eugene Poundmaker (uncle), Randy Poundmaker (uncle), Wilson Poundmaker (uncle), Lawrence Konchinew (uncle), Joe (Phyllis) Vermette (great uncle) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased: Randall Vermette (father), Maxime and Ida Vermette (grandparents), Katie Poundmaker (Grandma), Christian Poundmaker (brother), Glenn Checkosis (Uncle), Shirley Vermette (auntie), Hazel Caron (auntie), Freddie Vermette (uncle), Stanley Vermette (uncle), Slyvia Backstrom (auntie), Lawrence (Rita) Vermette and Ervin (Patsy) Vermette.
The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 4, 2025 at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital.
