Jean Marie Dahl

Sep 23, 1933 — Oct 12, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean Marie Dahl (nee Forsberg) announce her passing on October 12, 2026 at Royal University Hospital, at the age of 93. She was born on September 23, 1933, in Outlook, SK, to Ole and Mina Forseberg. She spent her childhood in Outlook and attended LCBI for high school, where she was the only female student in her class to take physics. After high school she worked as a telephone operator and lab technician as she trained to be an X-ray technician. She then worked as an X-ray technician for Associated Radiologists for over 40 years until her retirement.

Jean was an avid bowler, winning many trophies. She enjoyed travelling, crafting and reading. She was always happy at the cabin at Weyakwin Lake, whether working on the cabin, floating on a calm lake, or assembling a puzzle. She was her children’s and grandchildren’s number one fan, attending their events and cheering them on as loudly as she could. She was also a devoted Blue Jays and Roughriders fan, happy to yell advice to the Riders on what action they might take to “encumber” the other team!

Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband, Emil, in March 2013, and by her eldest son Brian in 2017. She is survived by her brother Bill (Penny), sons Bob (Karen), Brad (Sheralee) and Bruce (Alexis), grandchildren Ross, Ashley, Kimberly, Jordan, Chad, Matthew, Braedan, and Rachel, and great-grandchildren Lance, Emily, Jackson and Brianna, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of the staff of the 6300 ward of Royal University Hospital for their excellent care.
