Joe Sander

Joseph Raymond Sander of Saskatoon passed away December 26 at the Sherbrooke Community Centre at the age of 90 years.

Joe was born and raised in Wilkie, Saskatchewan where he later married Marcy Schille and together they raised their family of five children.  He was a lifelong farmer and he loved being out in the field. The farm was dads happy place!

He was a gentle caring person and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Marcy, his children:  Cindy (David) Hofer, Garth Sander, Blair (Heather) Sander, Jackie Dupre, and Darren (Whitney) Sander.  Thirteen grandchildren Becky, Brittany and Mallory. David and Christopher, Curtis and Bradley, Luc and Joel, and Breanne, Tyler and Chelsea, ten great grandchildren:  Cohen, Callie, Quinn, Ayden, Emmett, Jayda, Brooks, Hayes, Carter and Hendrix. Joe was predeceased by his parents Steve and Katherine, one brother, Edward and four sisters Agnes, Betty, Carol and Kay and two grandsons Jesse and Darren.

Joe’s wishes were that there be no formal service.   The family will gather later in the spring at the farm.
